The AV Direct is a versatile solution for connecting stereo iPods, laptop computers, consumer DVD players, consumer HiFi equipment, or video machines to a single XLR microphone level input. It stands out from standard gender bender cables and DI boxes by accepting a wide range of input connections and output levels, including amplified speaker outputs. It also features remote level control, making it easy to adjust the volume at the source instead of in the AV room, audio closet, or installation rack. The AV Direct has several line level inputs, as well as speaker level inputs with a switchable high cut filter, ground lift, and variable level control to eliminate unwanted noise and provide volume control at the source. The padded, transformer-isolated speaker level inputs allow for amplified levels up to 100 watts at 8 ohms to be sent to a microphone level input. With a frequency response of 20Hz to 20kHz, the AV Direct is compatible with any high quality audio source.

About the Sound Centre
Sound Centre was established in 1986 by a group of Western Australian musicians who wanted to provide a music store that would understand and cater to the needs of other musicians.
