Martin A Smith Hand Wound Modern Tele Pickups
Toned Down Twang for the modern player.
The Vintage Telecaster bridge pickup, this uses AlNiCo 3 magnets and 42awg plain enamel wire, but is slightly overwound to roughly 9.5k to create a fuller, thicker tone while retaining that classic Telecaster twang.
Using vintage style cloth push-back hook up wire it has a separate ground wire for the bridge baseplate or neck cover, so you can make sure it has the correct phase to match any other pickup you may have installed.
As standard these pickups are lightly wax potted to allow a more open and detailed sound, but reduce the chances of any unwanted microphonic feedback caused by the cover or baseplate.
